The two-story loft had an inefficient layout: the kitchen was dark and cramped, and the second floor accommodated only a small room. With a ceiling height exceeding 5 meters, the goal was to maximize the space. The mezzanine was expanded to include a master bedroom and an additional bathroom, increasing the total floor area by 30 square meters.
The former master bedroom on the first floor was converted into a children's room with a mezzanine, dividing the space into play and sleeping zones. The kitchen, originally dark and enclosed, was opened up by removing part of a dividing wall, incorporating the existing chimney into a multifunctional structure with a kitchen island, bar, and TV unit.
Two bathrooms were designed, with the new one placed directly above the existing one. A frosted glass partition allows natural light from the skylight to reach both levels, enhancing the sense of openness.
